Christ Is Born!

With God's grace, our great holyday, the birth of Christ is approching again. Every believer fills his heart with this great gift. This holyday, by the word of John Chrisostom, appears as mother of all Christian holydays. Because if it was not for the birth of Christ, then there would not be Easter and other holydays.

The prophets foretold of His coming 500-700 years prior to Christ birth. According to their predictions, it happened just as all righteous men dreamed and hoped of. God - the word in the womb of the Virgin Mary, became man and appeared to the world.

When the Son of God was born by the Virgin Mary, then, according to the Holy Gospel, the whole world brought Him gifts. Heaven brought the stars, angels brought praising songs, earth brought the vertep, the desert-manger and the shepherds brought worship, the Three Kings brought Him gold, incense and myrrh.

Therefore, we invite all Christians in and around Trenton to our Ukrainian church.

Please, come and bring a gift of a candle, as it was done by the Three Wise Kings, and join us in welcoming Him. Join hands, and put your arms around each other, and proclaim: Christ is born! And in one joyous voice sing "heaven and earth are celebrating today". Let this song fly all around the world that the sound of our carol is heard in our dear Ukraine, by our parents, brothers, and sisters; and, remembering one another, they would join us in our song.

Let this song carry us into this Bethlehem night, into which Jesus Christ is born, that our hearts shall be filled with joy. This way we will give praise to God, who, because of us, came down from heaven to earth. Let us give Him all the glory and praise forever. Amen.
